AHA!

AHA!AHA!

Who we are: AHA is a non-profit Tucson organization created in 2021 to support and sponsor grass roots actions that empower people to practice "the art and craft of place-based living".

What we do: AHA supports individuals and groups by providing  coordination, support and fiscal sponsorship.

How we do it: As an Arizona nonprofit corporation and IRS 501(c)(3),  AHA 's mission is to help build capacity and capability for local actions that create a more just and livable future for our region.  AHA is focused on building alliances with new and emerging  grassroots groups. If your or your group have a vision for a project, contact us at arizonahomemadeartisans@gmail.com.

AHA is currently the fiscal sponsor of Desert Harvesters (desertharvesters.org) for their project "Rewilding Tastebuds and Neighborhoods- Nourishing Ourselves with Sonoran Desert Food Forests".

AHA also sponsors Sonoran Permaculture's annual permaculture design course, and a 2025/26 "Planting the Seeds of Permaculture" grant.

Both projects are funded by the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona's "Thriving Communities" program.

These two organizations provide resources and events that promote:

learning to harvest and prepare desert foods

harvesting rainwater to rewild urban places with Sonoran Desert Food Forests

natural building with earth and recycled materials

designing healthy homes and neighborhoods

AHA serves multicultural and inclusive actions to benefit our entire diverse, beautiful community.

AHA seeks a diverse advisory board of creative place-makers and change agents to guide us as we grow the organization to support visions and actions for a healthy,  just and delicious future. Join us!
